- Screen: The XROS 5 has a basic display. The XROS 6 upgrades this to a 0.88" TFT full-colour screen showing wattage, battery %, puff count, resistance, and a Smart Prime countdown.
- VENTURI airflow: New fluid-dynamic draw path. Noticeably smoother and quieter, especially in the mid-range setting. Real improvement if you adjust airflow regularly.
- 3A fast charging: 10 minutes gives you roughly 50% battery. The XROS 5 charges at standard USB-C speed.

The XROS 5 Mini has a 900mAh battery. The XROS 6 Mini has 1600mAh — nearly double. That's the headline upgrade. Combined with the larger 3ml pod (up from 2ml), the 6 Mini becomes a genuinely all-day device rather than a backup carry.
How to choose
- Prefer a compact daily carry? The XROS 5 Mini is the smaller option — lightweight, reliable, and COREX 3.0 flavour. A solid choice for lighter daily use or a secondary device.
- Want the full-size build? The XROS 5 is the full-size option — bigger battery, larger 3ml pod, 40W output with three power modes, and a basic display. Best for heavier users or those who don't want to charge mid-day.
- Upgrading from XROS 3 or 4? Either XROS 5 is a meaningful step up in flavour quality thanks to COREX 3.0. If you're an existing XROS user, your replacement pods (0.6Ω or 0.8Ω) are compatible.

Yes. All XROS series pods — including the 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω COREX 3.0 pods — are cross-compatible across XROS 5, XROS 5 Mini, XROS 6, and XROS 6 Mini. If you upgrade from XROS 5 to XROS 6, your existing pods carry forward.
What is VENTURI airflow and does it make a real difference?
VENTURI airflow uses fluid dynamics inside the draw path to reduce turbulence. In practice this means a quieter, smoother pull and more consistent flavour — particularly noticeable in the mid-range airflow positions. It's the XROS 6's most meaningful real-world upgrade over the XROS 5.
Is the XROS 5 Mini worth buying if the XROS 6 Mini has a much bigger battery?
If the XROS 6 Mini is available and similarly priced, the 6 Mini is the better long-term buy — nearly double the battery (1600mAh vs 900mAh) and a larger 3ml pod make it a different class of device. The XROS 5 Mini at R429 remains a capable compact pod for lighter daily use.
Does the XROS 5 have a screen?
Yes. The XROS 5 has a basic display showing battery level and wattage. The XROS 6 significantly upgrades this with a 0.88" TFT full-colour screen that also shows puff count, coil resistance, and a Smart Prime countdown timer. Neither the XROS 5 Mini nor the XROS 6 Mini has a screen — both keep the clean, screenless design.
What is 60s Smart Prime?
Smart Prime is a 60-second countdown timer that activates when the XROS 6 detects a new or fresh pod. It gives the coil time to fully saturate with e-liquid before you fire — reducing the chance of a dry hit on a new coil and extending coil life overall.
How fast does the XROS 6 charge vs the XROS 5?
The XROS 6 supports 3A USB-C fast charging — roughly 10 minutes of charging gives you about 50% battery. The XROS 5 uses standard USB-C speed. Both the XROS 5 Mini and XROS 6 Mini charge at 2A, which is slower but appropriate for their smaller batteries.
Which pod resistance should I use — 0.6Ω or 0.8Ω?
The 0.8Ω gives a cooler, tighter MTL draw closest to a cigarette — ideal with 50mg salt nic. The 0.6Ω runs slightly warmer with more vapour and stronger flavour — better suited to 20mg or freebase e-liquid. Both work in any XROS 5 or XROS 6 device.
